Insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, REM sleep interruption, unusual sleep behaviors… A doctor may recommend a medical sleep test if such disorders are suspected. Polysomnographic technologists work in conjunction with physicians to monitor sleep stages and cycles by recording brainwaves, the oxygen levels, blood, heart rates, breathing and eye and leg movement during sleep. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the examination offered by the Board of
